Corvid Contacts Data Deletion

This page explains how to delete the data Corvid Contacts handles. Corvid Contacts has no accounts, and the developer does not receive or store your contacts, so there is nothing on our side to delete. The data lives in three places, and you control each of them.
On your device
Your contacts, address books, settings, and any photos are stored only in the app's private storage on your device. To remove them:
- Delete individual contacts or address books inside the app, or
- Open Android Settings, go to Apps, choose Corvid Contacts, then Storage, and select Clear data, or
- Uninstall the app, which removes all of its local data.
You can export your contacts first from Settings → Export Contacts if you want to keep a copy.
On your own server
If you sync with a Nextcloud or other CardDAV server, that server holds a copy of your contacts. We do not operate it and cannot access it. Delete the contacts, or the address book, on that server, or ask its administrator to do so.
Address lookup
The app sends data off your device only when you type an address and address lookup is turned on. In that case the text you have typed so far goes to the lookup service: Photon (run by Komoot) by default, or Google Places if you turned that on. With Photon, a country-level coordinate derived from your device's language and region setting is sent along with it. These requests are not tied to an account, and we do not receive or keep them. We do not control how those services handle requests, so any deletion request about them would go to Komoot or Google under their privacy policies.
To stop sending anything, turn off Enable Address Lookup in Settings. You can still type addresses manually.
